So, we’ve been on an incredible journey, over the last year. It all started at the end of last October, when we boarded a plane at Heathrow and headed off for Tokyo. Between then, and the end of this run of shows, we will have played on four continents and travelled nearly 70 thousand miles. We played with
Tokyo Honey Trap in Japan – from Shinjuku and Shibuya to Osaka. Then we headed down under, for an amazing week with PWEI – in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.
We’ve played the 100 Club in London, and festivals in the UK. We’ve done an entire tour of the East Coast and Mid-West of the USA – our first tour there for decades. Our friends in
Discoveries Of The American Scientific ensured we literally had the time of our lives. We travelled again and again, to the US, playing festivals in Branson and Milwaukee, and one of the best gis ever, at the legendary Whisky a Go Go.
So, it’s been quite a ride! It’s a year which has seen us play more shows than we have at any time since 1993. And in any other year, we’d be wrapping the year up with our traditional end-of-year jaunt, around the UK. But this year is slightly different. We’ve done so much, and been so far, and now we’ve also got our minds firmly focused on the next album. Writing has continued throughout the year, and we now want to get it all finished, so we can start 2025 with a fresh outlook.
All of which means that there will now be just ONE more UK gig, after the
EMF dates in October. We were asked if we wanted to play more shows in December, but we just felt like we needed to get our heads down, into the album, and draw a line under this amazing, tumultuous year.
So, we’re heading to Esher, in mid-November, for one last hurrah. One last chance to celebrate our 35th anniversary. One final stop, on this incredible tour. Tickets are on sale now, so come along and join us – we’ll see you there!
